
Basics to Anatomy and Physiology, Biomechanics, and Bioenergetics
Course Description: Students will explore concepts of biomechanics, muscle anatomy, adaptations to exercise, bioenergetics and nutrition as it applies to the tactical athlete.

This course supports learning of critical topics and materials associated to the NSCA's Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator certification.
Topics provide additional preparatory materials to better understand Chapter 1 through 7 within the NSCA - Essentials of Tactical Strength and Conditioning.

This course is designed for health and wellness enthusiasts wanting to expand their knowledge in biomechanics, bioenergetics, and nutrition.
How many continued education credits/units will I receive from this course?
Students that complete and pass all course materials will receive a certificate of completion for 30 hours. The credit hours awarded for this course reflects content hours, quizzes, a comprehensive mastery test, supplemental reading, and study/worksheet time.
While getting the most out of this course, how long should this course take me to complete?
We recommend students enrolled in the course take at least 4 to 5 weeks to thoroughly navigate all concepts.

What kind of textbook or other materials would I need for this course?
Although not absolutely mandatory, We STRONGLY recommend you purchase the National Strength and Conditioning's Essentials of Tactical Strength and Conditioning Textbook to read alongside modules. If you have questions on the book, please feel free to contact us via email.
Does this course provide me with the certification to be a tactical fitness trainer?
No. This course is one of multiple courses designed to prepare you for tactical fitness trainer certification exams, such as the NSCA's TSAC-F certification. You can also take this as a stand-alone course, with aspirations of further knowledge in more of the sciences.
What kind of tests are involved with this course?
This course contains section quizzes and a final comprehensive mastery tests. Students must acquire an 80% or higher on all graded items in order to pass that section and advance. Students will receive 3 attempts to pass each graded item.
